On February 6th, 2023, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck Turkey, causing aftershocks that were felt in neighboring countries such as Syria and Lebanon. The earthquake was followed by another strong tremor, resulting in tremors being felt in far-off regions.
The earthquake has been deemed the most catastrophic disaster to hit Turkey in 84 years, with the death toll surpassing 40,000 in the region.
To provide immediate assistance to families affected by the earthquake, RFI is seeking your support to supply emergency response kits that address their basic requirements such as medical aid, water, shelter, and food. Additionally, families who have been displaced will be granted access to temporary shelter.
